[mythtv-users] Out of sync frames?

I am using myth 0.18.1.20050523-1 with ivtv 4.0. 
Pretty much every recording contains flashes of 
what appear to be out of sync frames scattered 
through out the recording. Soooo annoying. 

Here is a 4sec snippet of a recording, there is flash at 3sec mark.

Any one have any ideas what would cause this?
