Out of curiosity, what is your goal here? 

If you don't need the myth interface, something along the lines of typing "mplayer filename" should get the job done.

I'm not sure this will work, but it might get me somewhat closer.
I take it your idea is to set a jump point to the Watch Recordings
page, and then infer how many clicks down to jump based on what's
being displayed in mythweb.  Even better, if it can be made dynamic
enough, would be to have whatever script is being called via a mouse
click on mythweb to (a) notice what show it is, (b) talk to the DB
to set a jump point right to that precise point (if jump points are
that flexible; I'm having trouble finding good documentation on them
without reading the code), and then (c) invoking the jump point.

Might work.  I'm hoping there's something more direct, or some real
protocol support, but it's at least conceivable it could work...
