I seem to remember reading a thread a few months ago discussing an enhancement in SVN which would make the tuners switch automatically in a situation like this.  (preventing you from having to hit Y manually)

Thanks, I already have the remote setup to switch between tuners. I
just wanted to confirm whether it was supposed to happen on it's own or
not.
