I think you can get the original IR receiver and remote directly from Hauppauge.. That is if the card has the plug for it. The remote is available on their web-store, but you might have to call them to get a replacement receiver.
This is the one I'm using.. http://registration.hauppauge.com/webstore/hardware1.asp#remote It has enough buttons without being too complex. It works VERY well and is pretty easy to set up.
