I am trying to get my Turtle Beach Riviera working with both analog and digital audio going to the spdif out using ALSA. So far I have accumulated some helpful info from this list and Google, but issues still remain. I have mplayer somewhat working with wav and ac3 test files. The wav test sound plays faster on the spdif than it does if sent out the analog (line out) output, I assume because of some sample rate conversion that I need to compensate for. The ac3 test plays fine out the spdif, but also produces a 'clicking' type of noise on the line out at the same time.
That is as far as I have got trying different conf file/command line variations. Aplay usually gives me some sort of set_params error (why?), tvtime and mythtv are silent.
Below is the current version of .asoundrc I am using that I got from here: http://www.mythtv.info/moin.cgi/DigitalSoundHowTo#head-1d37078cab3d096ff3c9a6c57c048282e81b5ec4
pcm.!default {
type hw
card 0
device 2
}
I am guessing I still need some tweaking there for the sample rate conversion. I definitely need some guidance on the Mythtv audio setup, as none of the examples I have found so far have worked. My tuner card (Fusion 5 Gold) has both digital DVB and analog V4L capture devices in Mythtv, and I am confused on settings for both.
