It would be nice to set up playlists through MythWeb, but I'm not sure it's possible at the moment -- mainly because MW is geared towards the backend TV functions, while MythMusic is a frontend module. The easiest way to set up a playlist is to start Listen to Music and then pressing '3' inside the Music module. This will let you set up the active list, which will remain until you change it again. Saving and managing multiple playlists is still a mystery to me (and I've been using MythMusic for a year and a half). You can let MythMusic try to sort everything from ID3 tags, but this is not a particularly good way of doing it -- you end up with entries for Miles Davis; Davis, Miles; Miles Davis Quintet, The, and so on. In the Music Setup screen, change sorting to "directory" and manually arrange you library how you want -- eg Genre/Artist/Album/01_Track_1.ogg. That's how it will navigate at the main menu. Also, there a checkbox in setup for Browse Directory Tree, which will let you navigate between the playlist and the directory tree without leaving MythMusic. As far as sending them to other machines, MythMusic is on the FE, so streaming them is probably not the best solution. The easiest thing is to put your music dir on an NFS/Samba share and point whatever system you want to the directory. This also means that you can play the songs from outside of MythTV, although I have no idea about swapping playlists between machines. I suppose if the playlists were also in the NFSed directory then any system could play them but I don't really know all that much about it. Hope that helps, and good luck. _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
