Try ffmpeg -formats and look for mention of psp.
It is one of the benefits of Gentoo! :) I ran it for a while, but after a hard
drive failure I couldn't be bothered re-installing (recompiling) it all
again. Been trying out kubuntu recently, but I'm back with Mandriva!
Sure enough, the copy of ffmpeg my gentoo system built back in June has psp support!

E psp psp mp4 format
I don't have a psp, though, I was just following this thread to see if it had any similarities to making video play on a palm (I have a clie). It just plays normal video in whatever format, so I use nuvexport to export to xvid at a really small pixel size and low audio rate to save space.
Has anybody thought of adding PSP or Palm video modes to nuvexport? If I had a larger memory stick, I would be pretty interested in that, it would make it very easy to set up a transcode to make files small enough to fit on a palm or other handheld device.
