The Air2PC series of cards, which are also descirbed in your quote, and newer Fusion5 cards are also supported by the linux kernel.  That makes 6 seperate models/ 3 brands.

All are 'software decode' depending on your videocard XV/XVmc will help.  My 1500+ decodes 1080i + AC3 just fine, with or without XV.
