Thanks for your reply. Yes, I get normal audio on other apps. I can play
old videos in MythTV that I recorded with the PVR-250 and they play
fine. Are the any other modules that I need to load in the kernel
(codecs, etc)? The recordings I make with the pcHDTV-3000 board using
MythTV are lacking of audio as well.

I am using mythtv with fedora core 4 latest released (2.6.14-1.1644_FC4)
kernel.
Check your audio mixer settings. Audio is carried within the DVB/HDTV
stream and it is therefore unlikely the problem rests with your pcHDTV
card setup. Do you get normal audio from other applications/running
aplay?
