I'm still seeing the same thing as of current SVN (83xx something or
other). Any insights?

No clue. I tested it several levels deep to make sure the bug was fixed, and it definitely works now. Maybe try wiping your includes directory and re-updating? Only other thing I can think of is if an apache setting is missing (that fedora enables by default).
