The USB dongle shows up as a Human Interface Device (HID) - in this
case, a keyboard. There's no need to use lirc (and I don't think lirc
supports USB HIDs.) Just map the remote keys to the appropriate
functions in Myth. Having said that, I never could get the key mappings
set up satisfactorily, so I made a serial IR receiver, and used lirc
with that.
