Let's stay on topic, folks. This is not an iTunes issue, but
rather a MythTV one.
Can you get audio from X to work? If not, it's a "I can't get audio
to work under FC4 using a Mac mini" issue, not a MythTV issue.
He said audio works fine w/mythvideo (or rather, the player mythvideo
launches).

Most likely, there's no available or functional oss emulation, so either
oss emulation modules just need to be loaded, or the audio output stuff
has to be adjusted for native alsa output settings.

And I need to actually try out FC4/ppc Myth. :)
Mister Sir,

What would those OSS emulation modules be? I think you are on to
something there.

I believe they should be snd-pcm-oss, snd-mixer-oss and snd-seq-oss.

The MythMusic Visualizations shows the static and it is not pretty!

Heh, I can imagine.

I'll save you the trouble if you do not mind my asking questions along the way!
Am I the first one to be trying this? Yikes!

Anyway, chew on this for a while. I am going to re-read your FC4 guide after dinner.
