I have a PVR-350 and was wondering does the video still get encoded with the nuppel video codec or is some other codec used? Is there a way that I can set what codec get's used?
The recording from a PVR-350 is stored as MPEG2 and is not encoded with nuppel video. So you can actually play the recording with any MPEG2 capable viewer.
But if you transcode the recording, then the resulting MPEG4 recording will be encoded with nuppel video.
