I'm having intermittent, odd issues using KnoppMyth R5A30. Sometimes when I watch live TV I don't have any keyboard control for volume, EPG, etc. There's no OSD. Audio and Video both work for about 30 seconds, then video drops back to the Myth main menu. The xterm I started mythfrontend shows "Remote encoder not responding".
Now, when it works well/right, I start live TV from the Myth main menu and I immediately see "Tuner1" in OSD and the keyboard works. The Audio/Video goes on for hours; life is good :-). FWIW, I'm running this on an old laptop using a Plextor PX-TV402U (a USB 2 device) into a USB 1.1 connection. I don't know if the USB version is an issue, but I've read it'll cause a lot of errors. However, if it is the culprit, why does it work so well (perfectly) at times? Thanks for your insight :-). Bret
