You mentioned having done some custom builds, I just suggest to return to a well known state which is all installed from the rpm packages. Get that working and then start modifying the components one by one while keeping the system working. Anyway this is more a session suitable for ivtv lists. It doesn't sound like a myth issue. > 1.
