I have MythTV running on a Mini-ITX (EPIA) box and DVD performance is extremely bad.
First off: The system is EPIA CL-10000 board with the CLE266 graphics chipset. I am running Ubuntu (Breezy) and I have recompiled the kernel to enable Unichrome support and X indicates that direct rendering is enabled. Although TV plays back perfectly (at least at 640x480), trying to play a DVD pushes the CPU to 100% usage and the video is horribly garbled. I am to understand that I need to use XvMC to enable the native MPEG-2 decoding hardware that this board is equipped with. The problem is that I don't know how. What should I do to compile or add in the support for XvMC? Does anyone have a Debian package of MPlayer or Xine with it integrated? Thanks! _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
