Go check out http://www.ivtvdriver.org/index.php/Firmware
This page will tell you what you need to know. 4.1 introduced hotplug for kernels that support it. With the hotplug mechanism, the location for firmware is different. They have also changed some of the naming conventions. I had to create the hotplug firmware directory on my system. You will likely have to also. The web page above tells you how to determine which directory hotplug is using. Starting with 5.0 only hotplug will be supported. Also make sure to read the release notes if going from 4.0 to 4.1 or higher since the interface numbering has changed as well. Release notes are available on the http://www.ivtvdriver.org page. -tony Jeff volckaert wrote: > > > On 1/18/06, *Stewart* <[EMAIL PROTECTED] > <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>> wrote: > > Did the names/locations change between 4.1 and 4.2? my 4.1 system > loads up just fine.
