Hello all. I've just acquired an old Mac 7200. Since it doesn't run
that latest Mac OS I've been considering making it into a Mythtv
frontend. Has anyone tried this? Is it powerful enough. Could I
possible put a tuner card (hauppauge probably) in it and not have it
stutter like crazy? If not does any one want a Mac 7200? It comes with
a 17" monitor (1024x768 max res).
Sorry to say, but the 7200 doesn't have nearly enough oomph to be a MythTV frontend. My 450MHz G4 struggles, so a 75 MHz PPC 601 isn't going to cut it.
