One little tip I can offer here would be to make all the frontends mount the shared video directory to the same path.
e.g. on frontend A, you could have it mount to /mnt/sharedvideos/ so on frontend B, you'd have to have it mount to /mnt/sharedvideos/ and so on. It took me a while to figure out that mythvideo doesn't store your video folder per frontend based on its hostname.. it's a global setting. It'd probably be wise to follow the same strategy with mythmusic too.
