Hmm... The 7676 thing got me quite excited on the way home from work - but having taken a look at my system, I am using 7676. So, close but no banana.... Also, all the other things seem OK as well - OpenGl Vsync is working fine (looking at the log) and TS is enabled (though my problem "test .nuv" was recoreded when I didn't have this enabled - the problem has continued since I last went anywhere near mythtv-setup)..... However - now I know how get at log, yes I'm pretty new to this... :/ I can tell you that I get this whenever I'm playing problematic video: 2006-01-22 21:43:56.498 WriteAudio: buffer underrun 2006-01-22 21:43:56.562 A/V diverged by 4.55715 frames, extending frame to keep audio in sync 2006-01-22 21:43:56.646 A/V diverged by 4.6491 frames, extending frame to keep audio in sync 2006-01-22 21:43:56.727 A/V diverged by 4.44933 frames, extending frame to keep audio in sync 2006-01-22 21:43:56.809 A/V diverged by 4.04322 frames, extending frame to keep audio in sync 2006-01-22 21:43:56.891 A/V diverged by 3.47615 frames, extending frame to keep audio in sync Which takes me back to the difference in audio in this recording (256 vs 192) - though Justin did mention this might be a TS issue earlier, where the TS version contained more than one audio channel. It's notable that I get 2006-01-22 21:43:56.498 WriteAudio: buffer underrun On *all* recordings/live tv - but only on some does it progress to the stuttering and above. So maybe the jump from 192 to 256 is the straw that breaks the camel's back - so to speak. What I don't understand is why I would get this when I'm running XvMC, but not the rest of the time - though I can't check what I get the rest of the time right now, as my flatmates watching the telly.... Anyway - the above looks like a good nugget to go searching with, so I'm going to do exactly that. But, thanks for the help and if anyone can think of anything else that would be great!
