Just guessing: 2 possible answers. 1. It looks like the mount on the server is exclusive and no-one else is allowed access while the server 'owns' it. 2. You, as a user on destiny, do not have permission to actually read anything mounted on mythtv. Maybe add yourself (piers) to a group on the server and on the client, and give the group access rights to mythtv:/media/cdrom.
