Hmm. Just unmounted the DVD off my Mac, and mounted it again, it works now, tho very jerky despite the onboard hardware DVD decoder (very strange that this Mac was supplied with a DVD decoder but no DVD drive!), tho I think that only works if there's an actual DVD drive attached to the IDE bus. I need a newer, faster Mac ;) Tho tried it on my other Mac - works perfect, it's fast enough to decode the DVD in software.
My DVD drive has a RPC1 firmware on but will keep in mind, if it doens't work again in the future, I will try playing it locally then play it remotely. Doesn't take long as oppposed to having to rip it. Thanks so much to all for all your help.
