reproduce this bug on my system. Can you provide more information about
your system by pressing Alt+F2 and then tying "apport-collect 974658"
without quotes? It might give more insight on why you face this bug.

Bug description:
The transparency setting does not work.
With 100% it is fully transparent. However, with 99% transparency it
is black. See attached screenshot.
