Hi, I wanted to ask, if there are any known conflicts between these
things. We are having trouble getting Thermo XRawfile.dll to implement
on our 64 bit server.
It produces error messages like this:

"The module "C:\Program Files (x86)\Thermo\MSFileReader\XRawfile2.dll"
failed to load. Make sure the binary is stored at the specified path or
debug it to check for problems with the binary or dependent .dll files.
The application has failed to start because its side-by-side
configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for
more detail."
Event log: "Activation context generation failed for: "C:\Program Files
(x86)\Thermo\MSFileReader\XRawfile2.dll". Dependent Assembly
Microsoft.VC90.MFC,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="9.0.21022.8"

could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis"
but this doesn't yield much more info. XRawfile.dll installs
automatically into the 32 bit Program Files (x86), but I don't know if
this means mzmine can't use it when running in 64 bit.

Also on installing, this error message comes up:
"Error 1904.Module "C:\Program Files
(x86)\Thermo\MSFileReader\XRawfile2.dll" failed to register. HRESULT
-2147220473. Contact your support personnel"
My support personnel can shine no light which is why I am asking about
it here!

Any hints or tips? We already installed the Microsoft 64 bit C++
redistributable hoping that this would resolve the 'side by side
configuration' issues.

Read past messages, it suggests Xcalibur itself is/was not compatible
with Windows 7; well our 64 bit system is provided on a server, so it's
running on Windows Server Standard 2007 SP1 - but I can't even find a
list on Thermo of what XCalibur and components are actually compatible
with! And neither is it mentioned in the MSFileReader reference. I sent
a message to Thermo about it, let's see if I get a reply!

I suppose I will just have to convert everything to mzXML and import it
that way as previous messages suggested.

All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security
threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes
sense of it. IT sense. And common sense.
