I noticed that when I perform a chromatogram deconvolution using the Wavelets
(XCMS) algorithm, it seems like multiple files are not utilizing
multi-threading. Processing only one file consumes 4% CPU and took 3 min and 17
sec. Processing 4 files (the same + 3 similar) at the same time also only
consumes 4% CPU and took 26 min and 8 sec - about 8 times as long :(
Is there a reason why the files are not processed simultaneously?
Best,
Thomas
