Thanks Ed. You're right, I should have looked at the source first. It looks like I will have to put my serial IO board on hold for now and start building the Propeller in order to be able to run the first tests on my system. Another approach could be to patch John's monitor to make it use the serial port instead. I will investigate this weekend when I'm back home. I have installed a 2732 on my Ithaca board so I have room to add extra lines of code.
