I was able to install all 18 connectors in about 2 hours total spread over 3 days. I spend 3-4 seconds per solder joint. I'm using a high end soldering station with excellent thermal capacity and an appropriate tip for the work. As a side note my JBC solder station heats from room temp to 350C in less then 3 seconds; from idle (180C) to 350C nearly instantly and recovery time between solder joints is basically instantaneous. I was able to solder the backplane at 350C at he same speed I would solder in a chip socket (I didn't need to crank up the heat to deal with the larger thermal mass). It has exceeded all my expectations and has been one of the best investments I've made for my work bench. -Neil
