Check out the output from 'ls'. It hangs on v2.3, looks good on v.1.2. Many, perhaps most, of the programs under v2.3 are misbehaving.
This is 'ls' from v2.3 looks like it has some of the first line header text displaying at the end of the output,or trying to run again... Note the 'a>' prompt spread across two lines on initial boot. That behavior is consistent between boots with v1.2.
