I'm properly logged in as my username.. I don't have a default user
specified, so it's not that causing the issue. I also had the same
issue historically under 1.x also. I'm guessing it's a peculiarity of
my config, but it seems to me like it would more likely be determined in
the cgi's themselves than in the config files.

seems as if it would be a common enough request... I've always wanted

It "just works" for me here with 1.x. Does the top left box show you
'Logged in as Admin' or the user? It sounds like your Authentication
configuration might not be working as you think it is.
