Dude,

There is problem in your command definition.

The RTA is not set for ping command (depends on what you are using fping  or ping ); you need to give option using the cfg file .( checkcommands /misccommand & host, cfg)

Similarly there is problem in http plugin definition “Name or service not known”

May be it’s just pointing to wrong plugin directory.

Thanks

SM

Subject: [Nagios-users] Notification on recovery

Hi All,

I am in the process of setting up nagios 1.3 for my network monitoring requirements. I have reached the stage where I get an email notification when the host in question fails. But my observation is that when the host comes back up no email notification is sent by nagios. My basic setup  of nagios consists of one monitored host with monitored service (http service) on it. I neither get any service notification when the host goes down, nor do I get any host/service notification when the host comes back up. Which area of nagios configuration should I check to find out the problem ?  The text that I find in nagios.log is below.

[1135597628] Nagios 1.3 starting... (PID=19908)
[1135597938] HOST ALERT: lab;DOWN;SOFT;1;<wrta> was not set

Thanks In Advance

Yogesh
