Thanks Jim, Valeu Christian, The question is that I'd installed Nagios so many times, that I was just wondering if I would win some time (time is money, so I'll ask an upgrade at my payment :p), doing it at next time that we rebuild our Nagios Server.
Jim, your answer sounds perfect to me I'll try it. This is the best way to get nagios up and running for the first time, however it's a paint by numbers kinda thing and may not be best in the long run for the system. Ideally (yes, I live in an ivory tower, why do you ask? :-P ) You should become familiar enough with nagios that a minor change in the install method is inconsequential. Theory vs practice sort of thing. Any idiot can follow a step by step how-to, but admins earn money by understanding the guide and cooking up their own recipe. It's all a matter of taste.
