Because I didn't know that hostgroup_name was possible in hostextinfo. It is not documented in xodtemplate.html for 2.0rc2, but has now been verified to work. Thanks for pointing this out. The availability of hostgroup_name in hostexinfo should definetely be in the docs for the 2.x release.
