I failed to mention that I’m using NSCA 2.5.

Thanks!

Subject: [Nagios-users] Send_NSCA - Segmentation Fault

I looked around (and maybe I missed it) for the following issue:

1)       I have configured NSCA for XINETD on my central server without encryption.

2)       I have configured SEND_NSCA on my remote sensor also, without encryption.

All of this works without a hitch. Luckily, all of the equipment is in a lab environment. I’m ready to deploy a server to a real remote site so I wanted to encrypt the traffic, so I configured BOTH the NSCA server and Send_NSCA for 3DES encryption. I restarted XINETD on the server. Now, when I send data from the remote server I see a “Segmentation Fault” and of course no data is sent through.

All applications compiled without any warnings and appear to be executing fine with the exception of the encryption portion.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Mike
