Why no more than one SMTP server on network? Most easy is to install and configure sendmail on the server where Nagios runs.
Technically this would be another SMTP server but you would simply use it to forward mail to your main SMTP server. There is lots of information on the Internet about how to configure sendmail to simply forward all e-mail to another SMTP server.
