Hi list, i'd like to introduce check_logfiles, a plugin which searches patterns in logfiles. It's main features are: - Detection of logfile rotation (plus searching in the rotated logfile(s) to allow no gaps) - Searching in multiple Logfiles - New patterns can be added without touching the nagios configuration files and restarting nagios. - on matching lines, a script can be executed
You can find it at http://sourceforge.net/projects/check-logfiles If you want just read the README, it's at http://people.consol.de/~lausser/nagios/check_logfiles/README I hope it is useful for you.
