I have a server, which is running on the local network with Nagios. I can ping it from the nagios box at the ssh prompt, but the check-host-alive for that server is showing it as down. All the other local servers are fine.
My check-host-alive command reads; define command { command_name check-host-alive command_line $USER1$/check_ping -H $HOSTADDRESS$ -w 3000.0,80% -c 5000.0,100% -p 1 } On the Host detail screen on the nagios web interface, it says that the host status is "DOWN" and the host output is "No Output". Any ideas why I would be able to ping a box from the nagios server, but not get a positive result from the check-host-alive test ?
