Do you want to disable all email alerts or just for a few services ?

I have the following variables set: enable_notifications=0 use_retained_program_state=0 I've restarted Nagios, cleared out the object.cache file, yet Nagios is still sending out alerts. This is really annoying and shouldn't be so difficult. Can someone please shed some light on how to easily accomplish this task? I've currently shutdown sendmail to workaround this annoyance.
