Hi nagios-users! I am new to nagios and am starting to set up a configuration that will help monitor our infrastructure that we have at a colo. I'm progressing slowly, and so far so good - but I'd like to also take this one step further and monitor nagios. The colo has a simple HTTP monitor that we can use, and I was thinking of crafting a CGI script to check on the status of the nagios system and reply with a non-200 code if there is a problem.
- Has anything like this been done - If not, whats the best (easiest) way to monitor the nagios process? Can nagios be configured to write something to a log file, so we know that its still running? (by checking on the modified date on the file) Thanks!, Tim ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
