I've tried to try them... they either require windows (or osx) or don't appear to plug into firefox. Cortona: windows only. CosmoPlayer: windows or powermac only. FreeWRL: might work with plenty of hacking. I'll keep this in mind as a last resort. OpenVRML: again, plenty of hacking required. I didn't mention I'm running debian stable...
