My directory structure is as follows:
/etc/nagios/ contains the main files (cgi, nagios, resources) /etc/nagios/mysite contains all the other files (hosts, services, servicegroups, checkcommands, etc..) What files do you think I should grep for check ping? Also, I have disabled check_ping altogether and am now using only check-host-alive as check_ping throws some errors. So, I now have in hosts.cfg check_command check-host-alive and in services I also have check_command check-host-alive One of them has arguments to pass to macros, the hosts.cfg I believe. I will try to run grep on all the files as mentioned however.
