Yeah, it's a basic perl error saying that the script hasn't declared the variable before using it.
Edit the script and right up the top where you see other entries similar to my $variable; my $othervaraible = "foo"; add in my $script; You could just turn off warnings, but that is bad practice and causes further problems just like this one. rob |------------------------------------------> | Internet | | [EMAIL PROTECTED] | | | | | | Sent by: | | [EMAIL PROTECTED]| | eforge.net | | | | 13/09/2006 10:11 | |------------------------------------------> >---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | | | | | To| | nagios-users | | cc| | | | Subject| | Re: [Nagios-users] **ePN failed to compile/usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_snmp_cisco_memutil: | | "Globalsymbol "$script" requires explicit package name at (eval 1) line 29 | | | | | | | | | | | | | >---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| I got this error when I had the embedded Perl interpreter installed, I'm no programmer so I just recompiled without the embedded Perl interpreter, and if anyone does know a solution to this it would be great as it would speed up my checks no end.
