I threw the last one in, just because I -love- apple pie. SNMP is yummy as well since it'll let you do two things at the same time: 1) you can run the normal check scripts, by binding them to a custom OID 2) read all kinds of interesting OS and hardware information through vendor OIDs Two birds, one stone...
