Hello from what i understand from your letters there are two ways to do it. 1) install nagios i different directories and set the appropriate permissions in the httpd.conf for each nagios. note that this is actually running nagios on the same machine i also advice to set different users for each installation.
but for your needs as for operators and tests i think its much simpler just use the contacts and contactgroups permissions and do not set the privileges in the cgi.cfg . meaning give test operator a user that applied to all hosts / services in the are in charge. and for the rest of hosts / services set the operators this way when they logged in they will see only the services they are allowed -- Moshe Sharon http://www.centerity.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
