I have been compiling. When doing so the config files go to
/usr/local/nagios when installing the packages i think they go in
/etc/nagios
To retrieve the name of installed package you can run
dpkg --get-selections | grep nagios
Then, you can always find the files installed with the package with the
command
dpkg -L package_name
As many other i dont use check_snmp but i can run the plugin from the
command line so it works, i use too the Patrick roy's plugin (that do
require Net::snmp, i have installed it with CPAN) that do well their job,
they are more processor consuming than some other plugins though.
