Nagios -3.0b6 Nagios-Plugins 1.4.10 I followed the above documentation http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/3_0/quickstart-fedora.html vi /usr/local/nagios/etc/objects/contacts.cfg edit define contact{ contact_name biju use generic-contact alias Biju Augustine email [EMAIL PROTECTED] } ############################################################################### ############################################################################### # # CONTACT GROUPS # ############################################################################### ############################################################################### # We only have one contact in this simple configuration file, so there is # no need to create more than one contact group. define contactgroup{ contactgroup_name admins alias Nagios Administrators members nagiosadmin } define contactgroup{ contactgroup_name esadmins alias Nagios Administrators members nagiosadmin,biju } Please let me know what are the thing ie email id host name shall I need to add Verify the sample Nagios configuration files. /usr/local/nagios/bin/nagios -v /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg no errors. restarted the nagios services and it's working fine.
