Is there a way to have a script fire off as a result of a nagios event? For example, Nagios could monitor/detect if a front-end mail server is down and then call a script to change the dns for the dns round robin for "MAIL and Exchange."
This script would look at nagios down/up event to generate a new dns list. This would make the DNS round robin a dynamic list just like a NLB would support but without the network flood issue. Do you have any ideas on how to make this work?
