Hi, Does anyone out there check whether McAfee is running?
Ideally this should just be one check in nagios for all 3 services that make up McAfee Enterprise Anti-Virus on each server, I don't want to bloat the monitoring interface and notifications. I rustled something up a while back which just goes and checks the 3 services. This was kind of cheap, since it was a bash script that took args then then just ran 3 check_nt calls against NSClient++ from the nagios server. Obviously this is not so good, since it's 3 times the work that it should be and is more likely to time out (and I really hate timeouts).
