I have successfully installed nagios, nsclient and nrpe multiple times.
However, the most recent installation of NRPE is not working. I am running
Ubuntu 7.10 and have verified that it is fully updated and all needed libs
are installed. After completing the installation of both the Nagios plug-ins
as well as the NRPE client...the client is not running. When preforming the
local check
netstat -at | grep nrpe
nothing is printed. Additionally when running
"/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe -H localhost"
the output is
"Connection refused by host"
Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.
