To me that seems the most logical way around this. That is the same question I sent to the list 3 hours ago. I simple removed the contacts and contact_groups from the service definition. It seems that the contacts and contact_groups defined for the host are used, But I could also be a bug, I haven't tested it for a longer timeperiod, just a short test.
Maybe you could give it a test too and we can combine our experiences? Or anyone can advice us to the right manualpage?
