The way I do this is by making a custom command, called something like
"check_ping_ip" which allows me to specify the IP/DNS to ping as a command
argument.

Subject: [Nagios-users] best way to monitor 2nd nic and vlan IP
Hello,
I have some servers that use 2 Network Cards and also have some VLAN
tagged on these devices,
How can I configure nagios to check these without having to add a
seperate host for each interface, vlan.
I would like to click on the host and see all the info at once.
thx and greetings
Heiko
